Cardiff by the Sea is a spacious 6 bedroom luxurious oceanfront home, accessible by 4x4, with picturesque sunrises and visits from wild horses. This home is located approximately 8 miles up the beach of the unique Carova Beach area. Cardiff by the Sea is a three story beach house with many rooms to gather for entertaining: including a rec room with a wet bar and pool table, along with a ship's watch and a sunroom. Enjoy the surround sound system including music poolside, 6 TV's with satellite service, VCR and DVD capable, and an office with a computer and dial up internet service provided. For an additional weekly fee, wireless access is available. Dogs are welcome (2 max, no cats) with no additional fee/deposit required.

This vacation home has a private walkway to the ocean, which is just a few steps away, and even closer is your own private pool and outdoor spa. The pool may be heated upon request for an additional weekly fee of $500 plus tax. Please contact in advance if you would like to make arrangements for this optional amenity. Availability dates for the heated pool are April 25h- October 34th. This option is not available in July and August. There is plenty of room for parking including 2 covered parking areas. Towels and linens are provided for Cardiff by the Sea. Shopping and restaurants are close by.

As you can see from the pictures, our home rests approximately 50 feet from the water's edge and is nestled in a private neighborhood, off the beaten path. The grounds are nearly an acre of well manicured native plants and shrubs with several beautiful pine trees for shade when the sun gets too hot. The 40 x 20', in-ground pool offers free solar heat for those evenings when the temperature gets a little chilly. There is also a 7-person hot tub where you can enjoy the millions of stars while listening to the waves.

Of the 5 bedrooms, two are master suites where Anderson doors open to their own deck/patio, each with Soundfront views. The Sound is perfect for swimming with its clean, flat sandy bottom and easy access from the swimming platform. Local attractions include: a vineyard, 3 golf courses (the Pointe, Holly Ridge, and Kilmarlic), many restaurants and great shopping just over the Bridge. The Outer Banks beaches and shops are a 5 minute away drive.

In the summer, drive to Roanoke Island for a live renactment of the Lost Colony. The Wright Brothers Memorial is a 10 minute drive away. Take a ferry to Ocracoke or go to Pea Island and see the most beautiful natural habitat and water at the Outer Banks. You can do as much or as little as you please with a vacation here! Be sure to reserve those prime summer weeks early amd enjoy kayaking (provided), fishing, swimming, bicycling, relaxing in the hammock, and breathtaking sunsets and views.
