Seeking a Journeyman Electrician
Location: Dare, Currituck, Hyde Counties
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: Based on Experience
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Journeyman Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on residential, commercial, and/or industrial projects. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge, works safely, and can complete jobs independently while supporting apprentices as needed.
Responsibilities:
Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, wiring, conduit, panels, and fixtures
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings
Ensure all work complies with NEC and local electrical codes
Diagnose electrical issues and perform timely repairs
Perform system testing using meters and diagnostic tools
Coordinate with supervisors, contractors, and other trades
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe condition
Mentor and assist apprentice electricians when assigned
Requirements:
Valid Journeyman Electrician license
Completion of an electrical apprenticeship or equivalent experience
Strong knowledge of electrical systems and safety procedures
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights or in confined spaces
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if required)
Preferred Qualifications:
Commercial or industrial experience
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
Experience with service work and troubleshooting
